An afternoon with the CT Audubon Society

Time & Location

Sep 28, 2024, 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

New Milford, 8 Chapel Hill Rd, New Milford, CT 06776, USA

About the event

Join us at the Merryall Center for an afternoon of fun and learning about avian art and wildlife on September 28 at 4 PM. Award winning wildlife painter Dorie Petrochko has over 35 paintings of local and exotic birds on display (which are for sale to support Merryall) through October 5.

Our guest speakers are from the CT Audubon Society’s Deer Pond Farm nature preserve in Sherman. Cathy Hagadorn, Director and Lori Lichtenauer, Sanctuary Manager/Naturalist will present on current and historical birding conservation work in our area, information on some of our local bird species and what we can do to help support them. We’ll cover how to look and listen like a “birder” and hear some interesting bird calls and songs.

There is no admission charge for this event. Reserving your free ticket below, highly recommended.

Wine and cheese reception to follow.
